Stéphane Maury is Professor of Plant Physiology and Epigenetics at the Université d’Orléans (France) and head of the ARCHE research team at the P2E laboratory. He is also co-author of books on plant epigenetics and environmental adaptation published by ISTE and QUAE. Over the past 25 years, his research has focused on environmental epigenetics, stress memory and developmental plasticity in plants, with a particular emphasis on forest trees of the genus Populus. He coordinates several national and international research projects, including the ANR-funded EPITREE and EPIMYC programs, and contributes to major collaborative initiatives such as PEPR ADAAPT and the COST Actions EPICATCH and EPICROPS. His work integrates multi-omics, DNA methylation analyses and
functional approaches to investigate how trees integrate environmental history as well as biotic and abiotic interactions into adaptive and potentially predictive responses.
